So as it seems the PS3 has gone down in price ($100) making it $499. I was at GameStop today and saw for myself. But this is only until the 60GB model disappears. Then an 80GB model will be introduced and it will be $599. http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/08/sony ... o-hit-nor/
I have an XBOX360, the only games I played on it are Gears Of War and Guitar Hero 2 so far, I am a huge Ninja Gaiden and Gran Turismo fan. Ima get a PS3 later. Sony dropped they're price down so that they would make room from their PS3's with bigger HDD. So I'm not sure if I'm gonna wait, it would make a great Christmas present though.

Well, the question should be , "How long do you wait then?"
This whole thread got started because the PS3 has a 'temporary' price drop of $100. It will end when the last 60GB model is sold. But this Christmas PS3 will have some more games out, but will they be worth the cost of the PS3? So far the only thing that looks promising is the last Metal Gear Solid game which is a Sony exclusive, for now. And then there's Killzone 2, Heavenly Sword, and Lair . I have yet to see any footage of a new Gran Turismo Game yet, but I'm sure that will be awesome too. Ninja Gaiden Sigma looks good too.
The 360 is releasing Halo3 this September, I think? And it has a lot more games available too. But I am put of by those notorious "red rings" of death stories. I thought that the stories about the 360s frying was hyped, but as it turns out it isn't. The 360 has a high failure rate, and Microsoft is spending a billion dollars in insurance to pay for this.
Anyway, I think I would rather just upgrade my PC and wait for Gears of War (PC) this Christmas so we can all play against each other. What do yo all say?
as long as i upgrade my entire pc, ( which means build a new one, and vinyard knows it ) im down for that...thats if you guys want to get owned hAHahHAH j/k. but i am down for that.
Yup, my box fried twice and my friends fried once. Gears of war for PC? I don't want to play that game anymore......., unless every one on VNET gets it.

Some words of advice:
When you build your next pc test your power supply before trying on your components. You can buy a power supply tester for just $14.99 and its worth it to save the lives of your expensive components and save you the RMA time.
