Re: S14 project
Doing suspension first is a good start
Coilovers, sway bars, strup bars, a camber kit if needed, etc...
Also, wider wheels can help alot. Im going with 285's rear & 255 fronts (my stock is 245 rear 220 front); they will be wide as f@ck! Good thing my car has huge wheel wells for very wide tires
But I think the widest I have ever seen on a 240SX is 220 rears. I don't think you can fit anything bigger without having to change the body/tire well.

Re: S14 project
Yeah Ive been looking at Tein and I like their parts but I need to do some research before I buy anything. what part of the suspension would you get first that's under $300? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
, as you guys already have, many thanks.

Re: S14 project
Well, im not really sure how much the suspension parts for the 240 cost, but I can bet that the sway bars are anywhere from 200 to 300 dollars.
The stock 240's have alot of body roll (most older light weight cars do), so I would go with the sway bars. They will have the best effects especially if you like to canyon run
Coilovers will probably cost you around $800 for a decent kit.
Sweet S14 by the way
