Demonoid was top notch; too bad its gone.

Mininova is definately second on the list. I'm not sure why Zero doesn't like it... it always has great results & helpful comments too. But nowhere near as great as Demonoid.

Isohunt is O.K. The Piratebay just doesn't yield alot of results, but its good enough for some.

Also, it seems as if they are cracking down on alot of pirated programs too. After successfully installing Nero 8... I got a message from Nero stating that my copy of Nero8 was pirated. I didn't take my chances so I deleted Nero8.

That is correct, the CRIA is bringing illegal torrent sites down. But the pirate bay is better than mininova and you do get good results, comments too as well. I've used the pirate bay for a lot of tv show downloads and i have never encountered a problem. Mininova is not the second on the list, it is a good torrent site but just not my favorite! Too bad demonoid is down they were my favorite torrent site! Ukb-kvcd is also better than mininova the only problem is that they don't really let guests d/load, only registered users just like demonoid. Another good thing about ukb-kvcd is that they have an adult section and an arcade too!

Alright. I got Hitman from Mininova. Good movie. Recommended it. Should have seen it in theater after all.

To answer about Usenets. Usenets is a term to describe newsgroups, and some newsgroups have file downloads like torrent sites do, but don't use torrent files or torrent download programs. I've just read that usenets are faster than torrent sites for downloads, but you have to use a download client like useNext. Haven't used it myself but wondered if anyone else messed around with this before?

I've actually read about this before, but don't you have to pay a certain amount of cash so you can join usenets? If i am correct, you pay some money so you can become a member and you can download any movie/tv shows that they have. You also download it straight from their server which you can download fast cause of their connection speed. Is this what usenets is?

Yeah! You're on the right track. But I don't think you "have to" pay. I think you can access usenets with download software like you do with torrent sites. If you wanted to pay, you could just use iTunes store or Limewire premium. Usenets is worth reasearching about. Here's are some apps:
