It does get easier as you learn. Most languages you do the same thing just in different ways.

Programmers are "Coders". Although they can write software from scratch, they can also manipulate, maintain, or change code that has already been created by other programmers.
But Software Development is a complicated matter and requires a lot of programmers to work together to finish a program. Software developers also have college degrees in Computer Science or Engineering which requires a lot of math and science.
So if you want to be a programmer and make money, finish school!
However, this shouldn't put you off from programming at all! In fact if you want to get into programming, there is no better time than now. My reasoning for this is that the internet provides a lot of resources and tools for you to get started for free. This includes tutorials, forums, websites, and so on. It also helps if you know someone who is familiar with this stuff as well. My case in point, VNET. It is in itself, a product of open source freeware philosophy and probably didn't cost much money to set up.
All programming languages look similar. So if you know one, then you know all of them. So yeah, programming is easy once you learn at least one language. If you want to become a programmer, just keep using the VNET boards and ask questions. That's what it's for!!!

I suck at Math, when I was in High School I took Algebra so many times, you'd think it wouldn't be possible, lol. I'm gonna try it though, when I don't have anything else to do or bored. I could become a bad ass programmer If I really wanted to, anyone can. But you have to be really interested in it.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I didn't mean to discourage anybody. My intention was just the opposite. I encourage anybody that has a desire to program to just do it.
Programmers come in different shapes and sizes. Their not all college graduates. The truth is, you don't have to be brilliant at math or go to college to do programming. What I was trying to get across was that, nowadays anybody can do it, as long as you're disciplined. That has been my experience. You can accomplish anything if you work hard enough. This applies to everything and anything.
In my opinion, just because you can program doesn't mean anything by itself. What I judge programmers by is what they develop with their programming. You can solve a lot of problems by creating programs. You can write a program that does just about anything you can think of. This is the fun part of programming, but also the challenge.
I personally think that Vinyard doesn't give himself enough credit for his work. His website is awesome, and it's gonna get even more awesome.

Vinyard inspired me into programming. I am gonna take c++ in the fall so i can learn and accomplish what some of you have. my goal is to get to know the language and help vinyard so he wont be by himself

i also want to know about networking. you should start a thread for that one
