system fan error

well i was installing windows xp pro to my sisters computer..it formated and it was installing but my cousin left it on where it prompt you to enter your product key...he left it on with the screen just blank and waiting for you to enter the produck key...so he left and ddi some shit and forgot bout it and when he came back...the computer was off.....so he turned it back on and it was a black screen with the letters "SYSTEM FAN ERROR....GET SERVICE IMMEDIATELY...SYSTEM WILL SHUT DOWN IN 5 SECONDS" AND BAM! it turns off fool....so im like wtf.....i did some research and shit and every other post says they get prompt with "system fan error press f2 to continue" and shit like that you know....but mine dont have that...so what i tried to do was unplug all kind of wires that were connected to the motherboard and plug them back in....and i get same error shit thingy fool..... specs= emachine T2240 WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION...2.20 GHZ... CELERON... 40GBS HARD DRIVE...CD ROMX48 MAX READ...10 FLASH MBPS ETHERNET...384 MBS RAM....APPRECIATE you guys help if you can help...

Every PC has a main fan. Some, if its a small computer, have just one large fan. Others will use PSU fan as main. If their main fans are unplugged or not functioning some PC's will not start without changing some bios settings. You have to press F2 or Delete when your PC is posting to enter bios setup screen.

thats a problem also.....it wont let me go into bios or f8 f12 or tab or shit like that fool.....i get prompt system fan error blah blah blah blah and shuts down fool.....

You have to do it when the system posts. Is the system not posting?

nah fool....it dotn do shit fool.....i hit the power button...in like 3 seconds i get the prompt message "system fan error get service asap shit ssytem will shut down in 5 seconds" so no system post....no nothing fool....
