network connections....

i just have questions cause im confused....okay when i click open my network connections it say i have 12mbs but my tranfer speed is way different than that heres a result of my connection results type thingy....
so i dont know if my connection or transfer speed has to do anything with my network connection or settings......if you know/understand what im saying cause at this point im really confused...so i need help cause my transfer speed differs from my connection speed..and im like wtf...i know i might not make any sense...so any advice or help or new modem will do....lol and a t1 line will be perfect.....lol inside joke

The 12MBPS connection is from your computer to your modem/router. Your internet service is probably 2.5 megabits download & a 512 kilobits upload. So the image seems about right. When you do any transfers you'll see the up/down a bit lower than the actual speed because of overhead.

Haha I'd rather have my extra 60 kb upload than your 800 kb download advantage
I would be happy with a 8000kb download & 1500 kb upload... won't happen until I get fiber optic or upgrade my current cable plan.

Its so sad zomg, its because I live in the middle of fucking nowhere and I can only get ADSL out here, No cable or fiber optic x[.
